It Started With a Suitcase

I still remember my first trip to Bangkok's Chatuchak market. The colours, the textures, the energy — I couldn't stop buying. By the time I got home, my suitcase was overflowing and my friends wouldn't stop asking: "Where did you get that?"

That question is what started Monaqe. I realised there was a gap — Sri Lankans with a real appetite for premium fashion, but no easy way to access the beautiful, affordable styles coming out of Bangkok. So I decided to bridge that gap myself.

Every piece in our collection is something I would wear myself. We don't just buy in bulk — we handpick, we touch the fabric, we try things on. If it doesn't meet our standard, it doesn't make the cut.
